Perhaps the most appreciated was
the Manard K. Hine award for "The Outstanding Fourth Year
Dental Student for Professional Attitude and Habits" chosen
by his classmates. Dr. Burns graduated from Indiana University
School of Orthodontics and started his practice here in 1981.
Dr. Burns was an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics and taught
in the orthodontic program for over seven years.
Dr. Burns is the past president
of the Indiana Association of Orthodontists' Hoosier Orthodontic
Forum, and West Central Dental Society. He remains active in the
local, state, and national dental and orthodontic organizations.
Dr. Burns and his wife Mary Ann have three children, Allison, Sally, and Greg. Dr. Burns
stays busy following their academic and sporting interests and
enjoys skiing, scuba diving, car racing, and helping to run the
local Soap Box Derby.
